Is This Checklist for You?

For parents getting ready for a new baby, however you plan to feed and whatever your starting point.

🤰

Expecting Your First Baby

The baby shop lists are endless. You want to know what you'll actually use, and what can wait.

⚖️

Still Deciding How to Feed

Breast, bottle or a mix. Each has its own page, so you can see what each option really involves.

🔁

Doing It Differently This Time

Your first feeding experience was harder than it needed to be, and you want to set things up well from the start.

👥

Partners and Support People

You want to help get things ready, and know what the person you're supporting will need close by.

What's Inside the Checklist

Start with the essentials everyone needs, then go to the pages that match your plan. No brand names, no upselling, just what makes a difference.

The Things You Can't Buy

The part that makes the biggest difference costs nothing: knowing what to look for, where your local support is, and how your partner can help. Tick these off in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Questions You Might Have

When should I use this checklist?
Any time from around 28 weeks works well. It's late enough to feel relevant and early enough that you're not shopping with a hospital bag by the door.
I haven't decided how I'll feed yet. Is it still for me?
Yes. Breastfeeding, expressing and bottle feeding each have their own page, so you can see what each option involves. Get the essentials for everyone and decide the rest once your baby is here.
Is it really free?
Completely. You can download it straight away, or join our community to have it emailed to you along with occasional free resources and offers.
Why are there no brand names?
We don't work with feeding brands, and you don't need a particular one. Choose what fits your budget and your home.
Does this replace antenatal classes or feeding support?
No. It helps you get your home ready. For the knowledge side, how feeding actually works and when to ask for help, our From Bump to Breast course goes into it properly, and your midwife, health visitor or an IBCLC can support you one-to-one.
Who made this?
Little Beginnings Hub was founded by Savannah Senior, an IBCLC and paediatric Speech and Language Therapist specialising in feeding, and Chelsea Ridge, a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist. We make expert feeding and development support easier for families to reach.
